Dana is a Nashville realtor working the Middle Tennessee market and the founder of 1099 Tracks. Like most independent contractors, she spent years closing out each tax season buried in manual expense logs and paying too much for mileage trackers that never quite fit how realtors actually work. Instead of just complaining about it, she did what she always does — she built the fix.

It helped that she’d already found her ideal co-founder: her husband, a developer, whom she told about the problem one night. What started as a favor for his wife turned into a full-fledged product — a modern-day love story that happens to run on code.

1099 Tracks is Dana’s fourth company. She’s had an entrepreneurial streak for as long as she can remember, and this one’s no exception — she’s building it with the same competitive drive she brought to the tennis court all four years of college. That mindset shows up in how she runs the business: set the goal, put in the work, and don’t settle for second place. And if her track record is any indication, this won’t be her last venture either.
